On February 13 the Embassy hosted the signing ceremony for an agreement between The French Development Agency (AFD) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), headquartered in Port of Spain, for a 1.5 million euro grant to CARPHA. This grant provides for support for a project dealing with surveillance of infectios diseases and resilience of health systems linked to climate disruption, as well as the fight against chronic ilnesses.

This event, followed by a reception at the French Residence, was attended by Philippe La Cognata, Regional Atlantic Director of AFD, Dr. C.
