Launch of the European Film Festival

On Thursday May 2, the Embassy hosted the traditional reception to launch the 23rd edition of the European Film Festival in Trinidad and Tobago. France and in particular the Alliance Fran├žaise of Port of Spain, is coordinating the organization and staging of this year’s festival which takes place from May 14 to 28. 44 films from 15 European countries will be shown to audiences in both Trinidad and Tobago, in 8 towns throughout country. For the opening of the festival on May 14, a film by Eric Barbier "Promise at Dawn" , which follows the life of Romain Gary, will be screened.
